From remembrance of a poem by the thirteenth-century Persian poet, Saadi, which begins: 'A night I remember my eyes wouldn't sleep, I heard the moth telling the candle….' This is the original Flicker, from which a mold was made, producing variations on the theme in bronze, Flicker #1, and Flicker #2.
